The Good, The Bad, The Ugly of CFB Week Two & Three

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly of CFB Week Two & Three

Good – Not Much

What has been going good for the Florida Gators and their fans? Well, the defense has been absolutely elite despite this 0-2 stretch, only allowing a single touchdown in each game. Jadan Baugh is a rose amongst thorns in our offense looking like one of the best running backs in the country despite not getting the touches he deserves. My softball team, the Big Bend Ballers, came in 4th place in the WSL Worlds tournament in Panama City Beach which had over 100+ teams total. But other than that, not much has been good for the Gators or Gator Nation in the past 2 weeks.

Bad – DJ Lagway’s Performance

In the past few years we’ve had some very bad quarterback play, but this past weekend’s performance by DJ was the worst by a large margin. 5 Intercetptions! I understand he’s young and you have to show confidence in your guy, but after the 3rd he really should’ve been benched. Now another bad has to be Gator Nation’s reaction to DJ, so quickly are all these “fans” to turn their back on a 20-year old that not even a month ago they were hyping up to be a Heisman candidate and worshiping the ground he stepped on.

Ugly – What Miami Is About To Do

Saturday will be ugly. Miami has looked like an unstoppable force of destruction, first taking down a well coached Notre Dame team coming off a National Championship appearance, then taking care of their cupcake Bethune Cookman 45-3, and finally putting belt to ass on the same USF team that came into The Swamp and beat us the week before. Its not the QB or the weapons on offense that make Miami so good though, its the trenches, their offensive and defensive lines are absolutely stacked with talent from top to bottom and while I think our defense could hold their offense down for a good bit, I don’t see our offense making the plays to make this a competitive game.
